DESCRIPTION:Over 40 percent of edible food goes to waste in the U.S. each year\, much of it produce. Wasting food wastes all of the energy that went into growing\, transporting\, and preparing that food. In addition\, when organic matter\, such as food waste\, is put into the anaerobic (meaning without oxygen) environment of a landfill\, it emits methane gas\, a greenhouse gas 20-25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide. \nCome to a half hour demonstration to get tips and to see how to prep vegetables and see a recipe demonstrated that takes advantage of the whole vegetable and that doesn’t have any waste. Delicious and an opportunity to win in the fight against food waste!

DESCRIPTION:We wish you all a much deserved spring break.  Here is the information about dining facility closures.\nJewett and Lyman Dining Halls close after lunch on Friday March 13th.  Jewett reopens for dinner on Sunday March 29th\, and Lyman reopens for lunch on Monday March 30th. \nPrentiss Dining Hall will serve a reduced hours dinner on Friday March 13th\, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.  The last board meal before break is at Prentiss\, Continental Breakfast from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.  Prentiss reopens for dinner on Sunday March 29th. \nReid Campus Café 66 and Espresso Bar will close Friday March 13th at 7:00 p.m.  Reid Café will reopen for board lunch on Sunday March 29th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.  Espresso will open on Monday March 30th.
